The Darien VFW actively promotes safety among its members and with the community we serve. Safety is a critical component of military operations and is a way of life we, as veterans, have brought to our daily lives at home, at work, and at play. Whether it is on a motorcycle, in our homes, or through our families we want to adhere and promote good safety practices.
Every year, the Darien VFW participates in programs to promote Pedestrian, Drug Awareness, Pedestrian, Highway, and Home/Fire safety. These include activities to recognize members of our police, fire, and EMS community for their outstanding efforts in these areas. As well, we educate area youth through school and Scouting on practicing good safety measures in their lives.
